INSEE Ecocycle and Siam City Cement Group have joined forces to kick off the Think Waste Wise initiative. The initiative aims to educate children on the importance of waste management through the three R’s – reduce, reuse and recycle model, while encouraging meaningful action on waste separation before disposal.
On 3 March 2021, Khun Suchintana Viraratt, Chief Executive Officer of INSEE Ecocycle Co., Ltd together with Siam City Cement Group introduces the Think Waste Wise initiative to “INSEE Arsa Border Patrol Police Learning Center (Ban Huai Poom), Chiang Kam District, Phayao Province as part of “INSEE Green School”
At the event, students from Ban Huai Poom act as a Think Waste Junior explain the different waste types and what happens to waste after it is disposed. Group of students demonstrate how to deposit waste at the Waste Bank, then separate and keep at the storage building.
For students who want to learn more about environment and waste management, they also can access to school library that INSEE Ecocycle provided with various books and plastic waste learning kits support by the Department of Environmental Quality and our generous partners.
Minimising waste in schools can be a great way for children and young people to connect with the environment and develop a culture of environmental responsibility.
