On 12 July 2019, Ecocycle joined other circular economy leaders in “SCP and Circular Economy” at ASEAN SCP Multi-Stakeholders Dialogue with a focus on Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) and Circular Economy through Sustainable Tourism and Food Waste. The discussion explored the importance of resource efficiency, as well as the need to switch to more sustainable production and consumption patterns. For Ecocycle, we shared about “Waste Management in Circular Economy; Challenges and Opportunities”, addressing the radical improvements from business and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) issue.
The event was organized by Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning (ONEP), Ministry of Natural resources and Environment of Thailand and the Thai-SCP Networks together with the SWITCH-Asia SCP Facility-funded by the European Union, aim to contribute to an interactive dialogue and share good practices on the related issues. The conference attracted approximately 200 participants representing policy makers, experts and relevant key stakeholders.
